Tony Martin is a Senior Executive Coach who partners with individuals and organisations looking to reveal their true potential. Tony works alongside 2b Limitless Founder Mick Todd delivering executive coaching, leadership development and high-performance programmes across New Zealand, Australia and Asia.
With an accomplished career spanning senior leadership roles in both the commercial and public sectors, Tony brings a unique global perspective to his coaching. His experience leading organisations and teams across New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East and Africa provides him with a deep understanding of the challenges leaders face in globally complex and rapidly changing environments.
Tony currently serves as Chief Executive of an intellectual property innovation company operating within the global horticulture industry, while also maintaining a portfolio of executive and leadership coaching clients. His coaching experience spans a diverse range of sectors including legal, hotels and hospitality, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and professional services, giving him broad insight into the unique opportunities and challenges faced by leaders in different industries. Prior to his current role, Tony led New Zealand’s trade promotion activities as Consul General and Trade Commissioner in Vietnam before serving as Regional Director for New Zealand Trade & Enterprise across India, the Middle East and Africa.
A Certified Gallup Global Strengths Coach, Tony integrates strengths-based methodologies throughout his coaching practice, alongside the Positive Intelligence® (PQ) framework and other evidence-based approaches to leadership and performance. His coaching is informed by both extensive leadership experience and a genuine curiosity about human potential, helping clients move beyond limitations and perform at their best.
Through Tony’s coaching experience he has grown particular expertise in C-suite coaching, senior leadership team strategy, culture and alignment, sales leadership, mental fitness and strengths-based leadership development. His work frequently focuses on helping leadership teams strengthen trust, improve alignment and create high-performing cultures that drive sustainable business success.
Tony holds a Master of Business Studies and a Bachelor of Arts and is accredited by both the Association for Coaching and the International Coaching Federation. He is also a sought-after speaker, regularly presenting on leadership, business performance and organisational culture at conferences, workshops and executive events.
Whether working with an individual executive, a leadership team or an entire organisation, Tony’s fundamental coaching philosophy always stays the same, the strong belief that extraordinary performance begins with greater self-awareness and decreased judgement.
