FOR INDIVIDUALS / COACH TRAINING / 2bAPC Level 2
DEEPEN YOUR CRAFT.
EXPAND YOUR IMPACT.
THE NEXT LEVEL STARTS WITH HOW YOU SHOW UP.
As your coaching develops, you begin to notice more.
A familiar phrase carrying an unspoken assumption. A shift in energy. A silence that deserves space. A gap between what someone says matters and the choices they continue to make.
Working with these moments requires more than another coaching tool. It requires presence, curiosity and the confidence to remain with uncertainty without rushing to resolve it.
2bAPC Level 2 asks you to examine not only what you do as a coach, but what you notice, what you avoid and how your own patterns influence the conversation.
The work is demanding, personal and practical. It develops both your coaching and your awareness of yourself as a coach.
WHO IS LEVEL 2 FOR?
2bAPC Level 2 is designed for coaches with a professional foundation who are ready to deepen their practice, including those progressing from Level 1, working towards PCC or applying advanced coaching within organisations. Participants must be willing to practise openly, examine their habits and respond to direct feedback. ACC is not required, but all programme entry and ICF credentialing requirements must be met.
What This Experience Delivers
Level 2 combines advanced learning with sustained practice, observation and feedback. It creates the conditions to see your coaching more clearly, challenge familiar habits and make more deliberate choices.

COACH THE CHALLENGE. UNDERSTAND THE PERSON.
A client may arrive wanting to delegate more effectively. As the conversation develops, they may discover how closely their identity is connected to being needed.
Another may want greater confidence in an important meeting. Exploring that ambition may reveal assumptions about authority, belonging or the consequences of being heard. The presenting challenge mattersbut it is rarely the whole conversation.
2bAPC Level 2 develops your ability to work with both the practical situation and the person experiencing it. You will explore how identity, beliefs, strengths, emotion and language shape someone’s choices while keeping the coaching grounded in the client’s goals, meaning and ownership.
The quality of your attention determines the quality of other people’s thinking.

REAL COACHING. OBSERVED. CHALLENGED. REFINED.
2bAPC Level 2 uses a dojo approach: a shared practice environment where coaching can be observed, examined and strengthened.
You will practise short, high-impact coaching conversations requiring clear contracting, close attention and purposeful choices. Coaching in front of experienced faculty and peers brings your habits into view and helps you understand what is serving the client and what may be getting in the way.
Observing other coaches reveals different ways to respond to similar challenges, while discussion and direct feedback help you recognise missed opportunities and expand your range.
You then carry that learning into your next conversation, noticing where you are growing and what still needs attention. Challenge is an intentional part of the experience, held within clear professional standards and a shared commitment to development.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT ROUTE INTO LEVEL 2.
Your pathway depends on the coach education you have already completed.
If you have completed 2bAPC Level 1, the 65-hour upgrade develops your advanced capability through further learning, coaching practice, mentor coaching and performance evaluation. Together, the Level 1 foundation and Level 2 upgrade create a complete 125-hour ICF Level 2 education pathway.
If you are beginning your development with 2b Limitless, the combined pathway brings the foundational and advanced stages of 2bAPC together. Our team will explain the sequence, cohort options and completion requirements before you enrol.
If you completed your foundational education with another provider, we will review your previous learning and explain the appropriate entry route, transfer arrangements and any additional requirements.
DEVELOP GREATER RANGE AND DEPTH.
01
Coaching presence
Strengthen your ability to remain attentive and responsive when a conversation becomes complex. Notice your own internal reactions without allowing them to take over the coaching.
02
Identity and behaviour
Explore ontological approaches to coaching: how someone sees themselves, experiences a situation and shows up within it. Consider how identity and habitual patterns influence what a client does with what they already know.
03
Advanced strengths coaching
Move beyond identifying strengths. Help clients understand how their natural patterns support performance, where those patterns can become less effective and how to apply them more deliberately.
04
Language and meaning
Listen closely to the words clients choose and explore what those words mean to them. Use language and etymology to invite fresh perspectives without imposing your own interpretation.
05
Emotion and energy
Develop greater sensitivity to emotion, changes in energy and what may be communicated beyond the immediate words. Practise exploring those observations with curiosity, permission and professional care.
06
Partnership at PCC standard
Deepen your application of contracting, trust, presence, listening, awareness and client growth. Refine your ability to create a genuine partnership in which insight and action remain owned by the client.
WHAT WILL YOU GAIN?
Through 2bAPC Level 2, you will work towards:
- Greater presence in complex coaching conversations

- More nuanced application of strengths-based coaching
- Clearer contracting in short and extended conversations

LEARN FROM COACHES WHO COACH.
2bAPC Level 2 has been designed by Peter Turner, 2b Limitless co-founder, Executive Vice Chairman and Global Head of Learning.
Peter’s approach combines behavioural science, strengths-based performance development and practical coach education, with a focus on how people turn awareness into meaningful action.
The programme draws on thousands of hours spent coaching leaders and high performers in demanding environments. Faculty bring that experience into demonstrations, practice conversations, mentoring and direct feedback.
They understand what happens when the conversation becomes complex, the familiar framework stops helping or the coach needs the confidence to remain present without reaching for an answer.
The teaching and mentoring team for each cohort is confirmed alongside the programme details.

BEGIN WITH THE FOUNDATIONS.
If you are new to professional coach education, 2bAPC Level 1 is the place to start. Develop the foundational knowledge, practical experience and confidence to coach effectively through an ICF-accredited education pathway towards ACC. From there, you can continue into Level 2 when you are ready to deepen your practice.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
2bAPC Level 2 is an advanced ICF-accredited coach education pathway that develops deeper coaching capability and supports progression towards the Professional Certified Coach credential.
It combines foundational and advanced education with coaching practice, mentor coaching, observed performance and formal evaluation.
Level 1 develops the professional foundations required to coach effectively and ethically.
Level 2 builds greater depth, range and precision. It explores identity, strengths, emotion and language through more challenging practice, observation and feedback, with performance evaluation at PCC standard.
The programme is designed for professional and organisational coaches who already have a foundation in coaching and are ready to deepen their practice.
Participants may be developing an independent coaching career, coaching senior leaders, working as an internal coach or applying advanced coaching capability within another professional role.
You need an appropriate foundation in coach education before beginning the advanced programme.
2bAPC Level 1 graduates can join the Level 2 upgrade. Those beginning with 2b Limitless can explore the combined pathway, while coaches trained elsewhere should speak to our team about their previous education and the relevant entry route.
Potentially. Our coach education team will review your previous learning and explain whether it can be recognised within the pathway.
Any transfer requirements or additional learning will be confirmed before enrolment.
No. ICF does not require applicants to hold ACC before applying for PCC.
You must, however, meet all PCC education, experience, mentoring, evaluation and examination requirements. Entry to the 2bAPC advanced programme is assessed separately according to your previous education and readiness.
The upgrade includes 35 hours of live learning, 20 hours of coaching practice and 10 hours of mentor coaching.
Participants also complete one practice recording and two performance-evaluation recordings at PCC standard, supported by an advanced manual, reflection activities and feedback from faculty and peers.
Laser coaching is a short, focused coaching conversation that develops your ability to establish purpose quickly, listen closely and support meaningful insight within a limited period.
During observed practice, you coach while faculty and peers watch. The conversation is then explored constructively so you can understand your choices and identify opportunities to refine your approach.
The Level 2 upgrade is delivered through live virtual learning, with coaching practice, reflection and mentor coaching continuing alongside and between the taught sessions.
Current dates, session times and completion timelines are confirmed for each cohort.
No. Completing the full pathway provides an ICF Level 2 programme certificate and satisfies specified education, mentor-coaching and performance-evaluation elements of the Level 2 application route.
The PCC credential is awarded separately by ICF. You must meet its complete requirements, pass the ICF Credentialing Exam and apply directly.
