Better Questions
Stronger People.
Your People Don’t Always Need Another Answer.
When the pressure is on, it can feel quicker to step in, solve the problem and tell people what to do.
Sometimes, that is exactly what leadership requires. But when it becomes the default, leaders carry too much, teams become dependent and people miss the opportunity to develop their own judgement.
A LeaderCoach knows when to direct, when to advise and when to create the space for someone else to think. They ask better questions. They listen for what is not being said. They give feedback that moves performance forward and hold people accountable without taking ownership away from them.

Typical Format
One or Two Days

Programme Focus
Five Conversations
Leaders develop practical approaches for coaching through goals, strengths, feedback, conflict and accountability – the everyday conversations that shape ownership, development and performance.
The Approach
Real Work. Real Practice.
Participants coach, are coached and observe coaching conversations based on real leadership situations. They receive direct feedback, refine their approach and leave ready to coach their people in the flow of everyday work.
LEADERCOACH IN ACTION

01 — 07
Drag
Leadership is communicating to people their worth and potential so clearly that they see it in themselves.
Dr Stephen R. Covey
Know When to Tell. Know When to Ask.
Coaching leadership is not about replacing direction with endless questions. Effective leaders flex their approach based on the person, the situation and what the moment requires. They recognise when clarity, instruction or a direct decision is needed and when stepping back will help someone think more deeply and take greater ownership.
Throughout the experience, participants learn how to move deliberately between coaching, managing, mentoring and directing. They develop the confidence to ask stronger questions, listen with greater curiosity, balance empathy with challenge and address difficult issues directly. The goal is not to turn every leader into a professional coach. It is to make coaching a valuable and intentional part of how they lead.
Learn. Practice. Use.
2b LeaderCoach is highly practical and interactive. The emphasis throughout is on real leadership conversations, not coaching theory.
- Participants explore clear, proven coaching frameworks and understand when each can support a workplace conversation. Concepts are introduced in a way that is practical, relevant and easy to remember.
- Faculty demonstrate coaching in action before participants coach, are coached and observe others. Every participant has the opportunity to experiment, receive feedback and refine their approach.
- Leaders apply the tools to genuine situations from their own roles. They leave with a clear plan for using coaching in upcoming conversations with their people.
Five Conversations That Change How People Perform.
01
Goals
Help people move from broad intentions to clear, meaningful outcomes. Leaders use the GROW framework to explore what someone wants to achieve, understand the current reality, consider possible ways forward and create clear, self-owned action.
02
Strengths
Recognise what people naturally do best and help them apply it more deliberately. Leaders learn how to look beyond gaps and weaknesses, identify where someone creates value and coach them to use their strengths more effectively in their role, relationships and challenges.
03
Feedback
Make feedback timely, honest and useful. Participants practise giving feedback that creates understanding without producing unnecessary defensiveness. They learn how to address the issue clearly while keeping responsibility for reflection and improvement with the other person.
04
Conflict
Stay curious when perspectives, expectations or behaviours differ. Leaders explore how to slow down their assumptions, listen beneath the immediate disagreement and create conversations that surface the real issue without avoiding necessary challenge.
05
Accountability
Turn conversation into commitment. Participants learn how to create clear ownership, actions and follow-through without taking responsibility back. The emphasis is on supporting people while expecting them to deliver what they have agreed.

Built Around the Conversations That Matter.
Every 2b LeaderCoach experience is shaped around the organisation, its leadership expectations and the realities participants are facing. Before the workshop, we work with the sponsor to understand the audience, organisational context and intended outcomes. The language, examples and casework are then adapted around your values, leadership framework and current priorities.
Leaders bring genuine situations into the room. These might involve someone who constantly looks to them for answers, a high performer ready for greater responsibility, slipping performance, unresolved conflict or a difficult conversation that has been avoided.
Through live demonstrations, real-play practice and direct feedback, participants apply the tools to conversations they genuinely need to have. This makes the learning immediately relevant and helps leaders leave ready to put it into practice.

Better Conversations Change How People Perform.
2b LeaderCoach supports new managers moving beyond their own individual expertise, experienced leaders who want to reduce dependency and leadership teams seeking greater consistency in how they develop and manage people. It is particularly valuable during growth, transformation or organisational change, when organisations need greater judgement, confidence and ownership at every level.
Leaders leave better equipped to ask stronger questions, give useful feedback, address difficult topics and help people find their own solutions. They learn how to build ownership without withdrawing support or lowering expectations.
For teams, this means less waiting for direction, greater personal accountability and earlier, more constructive performance conversations. Over time, it creates stronger capability and a more consistent coaching culture across the organisation.
